Reaching out with energy advice

Out in the community

Whilst a lot of the support we provide can be over the phone, we can regularly be found with an advice stand at local community events such as summer shows, winter support events and drop-in sessions with other local organisations. Keep an eye on our social media for details of our next drop-in.

Supporting local groups

In addition to the support we give direct to individuals, we can also help other organisations who support people in the community. We can provide you with written resources, cosy kits when available, provide training sessions on how to spot people vulnerable to fuel poverty and agree referral pathways between our organisations. Get in touch if you like to find out more.

Recently, deputy manager Rachel McNicol, joined a group at Grey Matters - active ageing to share knowledge and tips on saving energy and preparing for the winter, along with a hot water bottle or two. After visiting to congratulate the team at the The HUB Cowal for their hard work and recent Argyll and Bute Third Sector Interface Volunteer Award, our advisors are looking forward to spending more time at the ARC Addictions Recovery Cafe, Dunoon, offering people help and support with heating bills this winter. If you think your organisation or event delegates would benefit from our free and confidential energy advice, contact us to make arrangements - 01631 565183 or enquiries@alienergy.org.uk
