Expansion of ALIenergy's Advisory Team
ALIenergy has been delighted to welcome two new advisors to our team this year. This expansion enhances our ability to deliver a broader range of services to our clients, ensuring that support remains accessible and tailored to the specific needs of each community. By maintaining advisors who are locally based, we are better positioned to understand and address the unique challenges faced by clients in their respective areas. This local expertise strengthens our commitment to providing effective, relevant guidance and assistance throughout our extensive working area.
Laura Campbell – Energy Advisor (Highland)
We are delighted to welcome Laura Campbell, who has recently joined ALIenergy as part of our Highland team, based on Skye. Laura previously served as an Energy Advisor for Lochalsh & Skye Housing Association (LSHA), an organisation committed to providing affordable housing for residents in Skye and Lochalsh. With over a decade of experience at LSHA, Laura specialised in delivering free, independent energy advice to tenants. Her responsibilities included assisting residents with complex energy bills, demonstrating the operation of heating and ventilation systems, clarifying electricity metering and recommending suitable tariffs. Laura also provided guidance on managing damp and mould, as well as supporting both tenants and the Housing Association in upgrading solid fuel and storage heating systems to modern renewable alternatives, such as Air Source Heat Pumps.
Through her comprehensive support, Laura has contributed to creating happier and healthier living conditions for tenants, while striving to reduce energy bills and support national Net Zero targets. She is now looking forward to continuing this valuable work for the wider community as a member of the ALIenergy team.
Julie Semple – Affordable Warmth/Money Advisor (Argyll&Bute)
We are also pleased to introduce Julie Semple, who joined the Argyll team in August 2025 as our new Affordable Warmth/Money Advisor. Julie brings over 25 years of experience in the advice sector, with specialist training in Advice and Guidance, Welfare Rights and Money Advice, Energy, Social Sciences, and Counselling. Her commitment to a fair and respectful society, particularly in supporting the most vulnerable, has been the driving force throughout her career in the third sector.
Julie is a DAS Approved Money Advisor, providing expert advice on debt and budgeting alongside her role as an energy adviser. Following her graduation, she began her career at Bute Advice Centre, initially as a Debt Counsellor, before taking on roles combining Money Advice, Welfare Rights, Housing, and Energy Advice as Manager. Julie is also a qualified Mental Health First Aider.
As a resident of the islands within Argyll and Bute, Julie appreciates the unique quality of life and natural beauty of the region, while recognising the challenges faced by those living in remote and rural areas. She is dedicated to helping clients access the full range of support available. Outside of work, Julie enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and going for walks with her husband and their St. Bernard, Bertie.
