Continued Success for the Argyll and Bute Flexible Food and Fuel Fund

ALIenergy is thrilled to announce that the Flexible Food and Fuel Fund project was the winner of the Community Focus category at the recent ASSIST FM Conference and Awards (2023) in Glasgow.

The project offers financial support and wider confidential professional help to anyone suffering hardship. Households in Argyll and Bute, with low incomes and no access to cash savings can apply for immediate financial support. The Fund uses a “Cash First” model to help support daily living expenses.

To date, the collaboration between Argyll & Bute Council and delivery agents Bute Advice Centre and ALIenergy, has helped over 1800 households to claim £2.5 million worth of grants, benefits and rebates.

In 2021 the project received a Highly Commended for Excellence in Innovation (Service Delivery) at the IRRV awards.  Alienergy and the other project partners are delighted to continue working on the project and extremely pleased to have the success of the project recognised with this latest award.
