Award winning board member at latest Energy Action Scotland Annual Awards

Huge congratulations to our board member Martin Clayton, Managing Director of GTi Direct, on his award for Outstanding Contribution in the Fuel Poverty and Energy Efficiency Sector at the Energy Action Scotland Annual Awards.

Martin joined the ALIenergy board last year and the guidance he has offered along with his wealth of knowledge is hugely appreciated by us all. Rachel and Lynda were delighted to be able to celebrate the achievement with Martin at the one-day conference and award dinner on 16th November.

The annual EAS conference is an opportunity for organisations to discuss how to meet the needs of the most vulnerable households and to reimagine the energy system in a way that is both fairer and sustainable. The event enables conversation and sharing inspiration in the work to combat the consequences of endemic fuel poverty in Scotland. Around 130 delegates from the energy and fuel poverty sector attended at the Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel in Clydebank, including suppliers, installers and energy advice agencies.  Presentations given during this year's event can be found here.

Energy Action Scotland (EAS) campaigns for an end to fuel poverty in Scotland and is the only national charity with this sole remit. EAS aims to develop and promote effective solutions to the problem of cold, damp and expensive to heat homes.
