Vacancy – Affordable Warmth Advisor
ALIenergy is delighted to expand its Affordable Warmth Service across Argyll and Bute with support from Argyll and Bute Council and Scottish Government.
One in three people are struggling to keep warm at home in Argyll and Bute. ALIenergy’s Affordable Warmth Service provides free, impartial, and confidential advice to anyone living in our communities if they are struggling to afford adequate heat and light in their homes.
ALIenergy is working in partnership with Argyll & Bute Council, Bute Advice Centre and the Argyll & Bute Community Food Forum to deliver a Welfare Rights and Energy Advice Provision to Community Foodbank Recipients alongside the Argyll & Bute Flexible Food Fund. This new provision and fund is aimed at tackling financial insecurity for adults and families across Argyll and Bute.
We are seeking an Affordable Warmth Advisor to join our team delivering our advice service. The role will involve helping householders to understand their energy use, how they can save energy at home, reduce their energy costs and help them access energy efficiency support. This post is for an initial 6 months period and may be extended dependent on funding.
ALIenergy works to promote sustainable energy use and renewable energy generation, to address fuel poverty and reduce carbon emissions. Our vision is a world where everyone lives sustainably, carbon emissions have been cut to safe levels and no individuals live in fuel poverty without access to affordable energy. Our goal is to improve public knowledge of, and engagement in, renewable energy and energy efficiency issues, so that more people take action in their lives to increase energy saving, become involved with renewable energy initiatives and move towards a sustainable, low carbon future. Our mission is to promote sustainable energy use and generation to the benefit of individuals, communities and the local economy, and to combat fuel poverty.
If you share our vision and have a passion for helping people, we’d love to hear from you.
