Dr. Mandie Currie The Manager is responsible for the delivery of all of ALIenergy’s projects, programmes and activities and the strategic development of the organisation; overseeing the Business Plan process and policy development. I am in charge of all operational matters, including the management of staff, resources and finances. I prepare forward budgets and the annual accounts and I manage spend on a day to day basis. Together with the Business Development Manager, I develop contract tenders, new projects and new income generating opportunities. The Manager’s role is supported by the Operational Sub Group, which comprises the Manager, Chair and a Board member, and the Council’s Finance Manager, who represents the Council as an Advisor to the ALIenergy Board. Andrew Hodge Andrew is responsible for managing the consultancy and technical services provided by ALIenergy and also for developing relationships with other energy related organisations. Andrew’s current projects include feasibility studies for wind turbines in the range of 5 to 330kW and Micro Hydropower projects; amongst more innovative planned projects investigating production, storage and use of Hydrogen. Michael Wall It is the Office Administrator's job to ensure the smooth running of the office by ensuring project files are kept accurate and up to date administrating project finances, booking venues and services and handling purchasing and procurement. Caroline Cuddihy Our role is to give energy advice to householders, communities and businesses, including energy efficiency, renewable energy measures and advice on available grants and funding. We can also provide assistance to groups or individuals who want to develop their own energy saving measures and we prepare and deliver energy education and awareness activities, plan and organise events and roadshows and campaigns throughout Argyll, Caroline also helps to deliver the Affordable Warmth project. A fully accredited Dwellings Energy Assessor (DEA) under the BRE scheme, Caroline can provide you with an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC). Go to our Advice/Support pages for details. Kirsty Jackson-Stark The Education and Development Officer delivers ALIenergy’s schools energy education programme throughout Argyll. This includes preparing education resource materials on climate change, energy efficiency, renewable energy and fuel poverty and developing and delivering workshops and activities in primary schools. Kirsty also has an overview of ALIenergy’s education activities and assists other education team members in planning and organising events and roadshows in order to get across key energy saving messages. Tony Philpin The Education Officer delivers energy education and awareness activities throughout Argyll. Working closely with the Education and Development Officer, Tony helps to support the education function of various ALIenergy projects and programmes, by preparing and delivering workshops on the Science of Energy: energy efficiency: renewable energy and fuel poverty topics. The Education Officer is also responsible for organising and delivering workshops, training courses, events and roadshows for the Affordable Warmth in Argyll project and developing and delivering energy education in secondary schools throughout Argyll. As a fully qualified and registered teacher with 12 years full time experience in the classroom and post graduate qualifications in education with experience across all areas of the curriculum, Tony is a well known face in secondary education around Argyll. David Doherty The Renewable Heat Development Officer helps to promote and co-ordinate the development of renewable heat markets in Argyll. He is responsible for promoting and providing information on renewable heat and availability of grant funding for households, businesses and community groups in Argyll. David is responsible for the development and delivery of renewable heat and wood fuel education.
